With extensive experience in smart card management systems, PKI design, and directory services, Chris is committed to integrating the voice of the customer into Keyfactor’s platform to drive innovative solutions and accelerate digital trust in the evolving security landscape. He spearheads Keyfactor’s post-quantum cryptography (PQC) strategies to support organizations in their quantum-readiness journeys. He remains an industry-wide trusted resource on enhancing digital trust through SaaS-delivered PKI solutions and certificate lifecycle automation software to support security teams of modern enterprises.
David Hook
VP Software Engineering at Keyfactor
David has been working on Cryptography APIs and secure protocols since the mid-1990s and in IT and open-source since the mid-1980s. He is a founder and still active committer of the Legion of the Bouncy Castle Cryptography project which began in the year 2000 and provides APIs in Java, C#, and Kotlin. David founded Crypto Workshop, now part of Keyfactor, in 2012 in order to better support the Bouncy Castle APIs and its user community. Shortly after, he led the work on the FIPS certification of the Bouncy Castle APIs, resulting in their first certifications in 2016. His deep interest is in providing tools to simplify the development of solutions that make use of cryptography and secure protocols, with an emphasis on standards-based approaches. He is based in Melbourne, Australia.
Sven Rajala

Sven is an award-winning cybersecurity consultant with over 18 years of experience in PKI, automation of PKI and signing solutions, and containerized deployments. Sven’s career spans both the private sector and federal government, where he has helped organizations design, modernize, and secure their digital trust infrastructure.
Recognized for his subject matter expertise in PKI and DevSecOps, he is often invited to lead client discussions, presentations, and technical seminars on EJBCA, PKI architectures, and automation best practices.
Sven also hosts The Key Master series by Keyfactor, featured on the Keyfactor Developers YouTube channel, where he shares insights and interviews to help the PKI community deepen its technical knowledge.
Tomas Gustavsson

Tomas Gustavsson is the chief public key infrastructure (PKI) officer at Keyfactor. He pioneered open-source public key infrastructure with EJBCA, now embraced by thousands of organizations. With a background in computer science, Tomas established EJBCA to fortify trusted digital identities globally. He advocates for cybersecurity through innovation, collaboration, and open-source principles.
