About the position  

Keyfactor is one of the world’s leading companies for Machine Identity, Certificate Lifecycle Management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Solutions. We help security teams manage cryptography as critical infrastructure by simplifying PKI including Certificate Issuance, Certificate Life Cycle Management, and Secure Code Signing. 

This position will work as a core member of our software development team in Barcelona Spain working on Keyfactor Signum, one of our Code Signing products. This position will have the opportunity to work on unique projects that will require strong problem solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies. Some example projects might include: 

  • Helping the team migrate applications from .NET Framework to .NET Core 
  • Creating new features and maintaining .NET Core applications for Windows, MacOs, and Linux 
  • Migrating .NET Core applications to run in containerized environments 
  • Helping the team create and maintain software build pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Artifactory 

The position is based in our Barcelona office and applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Spain.  

Responsibilities  

  • Backend Software Development – Involves design and implementation of new features as well as maintenance and refactoring of existing features within the product code base.  
  • Basic architecture participation – Participate in design meetings to learn and provide input   
  • Participation in Agile ceremonies – Participate in Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and daily scrums  
  • Team collaboration – Work closely with other team members to devise solutions to code and architectural challenges  
  • Onboarding and mentoring – Participate in the onboarding and mentoring process of new employees and interns  
  • Code reviews – Submit and participate in code reviews in order to ensure standards, and improve the overall team technical aptitude  

Skills and Qualifications  

Required Experience 

  • Demonstrable professional experience in developing software applications as a team-member.  
  • Strong problem solving skills with a willingness to learn new technologies 
  • .NET Experience:  Strong knowledge in both .Net Framework and .Net Core.  
  • Experience with creating and maintaining containers for production software applications 
  • Experience working with and implementing REST APIs 
  • Experience working as part of an Agile team 
  • Version Control: Experience in version control using Git.  
  • Fluency in English 

Preferred Experience 

  • Familiarity with Linux and MacOS based development 
  • Experience working with build pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Artifactory 
  • Understanding of best practices creating Docker files 
  • Experience with PKI is a plus. 
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, SW Engineering, a related field, or have relevant equivalent experience. 

Compensation  

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
