Keyfactor Bolsters Partnership with Microsoft by Being First PKI Solution on Security Store

PKI

Keyfactor has become the first – and currently only – PKI solution available in Microsoft’s newly launched Security Store, part of the reimagined Microsoft Marketplace announced in late September 2025.

This partnership is a direct response to the growing complexity security teams face today. Cybersecurity practitioners have more on their plates than ever before. With a multitude of disparate solutions to manage, an ever-increasing number of endpoints, and the rising cost of networking infrastructure, many are turning to Microsoft Azure and tools like Microsoft Intune to simplify and strengthen their security posture.

Keyfactor has become the first – and currently only – PKI solution available in Microsoft’s Security Store

Now, with EJBCA SaaS available in the Microsoft Security Store, teams can deploy enterprise-grade PKI faster and easier – without the usual procurement roadblocks.

You can purchase directly using your Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC), eliminating the need to involve billing departments or lengthy approval chains.

Even more importantly, EJBCA is certified to work with Microsoft Intune, making it easy to automate certificate issuance to every Intune-managed device – ensuring strong device identity and secure access across your organization.

This milestone reflects the strength of the ongoing Keyfactor–Microsoft partnership, which now includes 17 integrated offerings spanning PKI, Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM), digital signing, and cryptographic inventory.

Microsoft Intune and PKI

One crucial function of Microsoft Intune is to distribute identities to devices, ensuring that only authorized devices can access the network. This relies heavily on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to generate the identities with different profiles depending on the requirements of each device.

When starting from scratch, building a PKI can be cumbersome. There’s hardware selection, security hardening, network security, updates, and front-loaded costs. Not to mention, not everyone is a PKI expert and knows which buttons and knobs to change for optimal performance.

To answer these challenges, EJBCA SaaS, a flexible and scalable PKI platform, is available right in Microsoft Azure. Keyfactor’s solution provides practitioners with all the advantages of EJBCA Enterprise PKI, without the hassle of setting up and managing the underlying infrastructure.

Keyfactor handles everything from HSMs to databases to Kubernetes clusters, while administrators still have full access to the PKI backend and the ability to scale on demand.

“Keyfactor EJBCA being the first PKI solution listed in the Microsoft Security Store underscores Microsoft’s recognition of Keyfactor as a leader in PKI, and highlights our commitment to delivering seamless integration across the entire Keyfactor portfolio.”

EJBCA SaaS – With Azure Key Vault Managed HSM Backed CA Keys and EJBCA SaaS – With Key Vault Backed CA Keys are immediately available to the public and are certified to work with Microsoft Intune. Both solutions are Azure benefit-eligible, allowing users to utilize their existing MACC to quickly and easily get their PKI up and running.
