Certified Security Solutions (CSS) Announces PKI Operations and Digital Certificate Management Platform – CMS Version 4.4

CLEVELAND, O.H. – September 27 2016 – Certified Security Solutions, Inc. (CSS), a global leader in digital identity management for enterprises and the Internet of Things (IoT) today announced the release of their Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Operations and Digital Certificate Management Platform, CMS Version 4.4.
Designed to provide end-to-end visibility and management of PKI operations, including policy enforcement, certificate inventory, enrollment, renewal and revocation, CMS removes error prone and manual processes present within operating enterprise PKIs. CMS enables centralized management of all PKI operations from a single intuitive console. Version 4.4 brings the addition of native Entrust CA gateway support allowing for all Entrust digital certificates to be seamlessly imported and managed within the CMS console. Additional improvements include certificate management for F5, Apache and remote Microsoft CA certificate stores. These stores join already existing Java KeyStore certificate management functionalities which are continuously synchronized and centrally controlled within the CMS console.

Organizations that have deployed and operate internal PKIs often have few enterprise-class tools, automation or capabilities to help them monitor, manage and report on PKI operations. CMS is a true enterprise-class, scalable PKI operations management platform with functionality to report on CA uptime, health, abnormalities, misconfiguration, revocation and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) server health.

“Many companies have latched onto the idea of digital certificate management as a risk mitigation tactic, which is a step in the right direction,” stated Ted Shorter, CSS CTO. “Our next task is getting them to recognize the importance of managing the holistic PKI that ultimately issues those certificates as well. What’s the point of maintaining your home’s roof if your foundation is cracked? CSS views overall PKI operations management as a cornerstone of cyber security risk mitigation.”
