ISO 27001 Certification Builds Upon Keyfactor’s Commitment to Trust and Compliance for its Global 2000 Customers and Partners
CLEVELAND — October 5, 2021 — Keyfactor, the pioneer of PKI as-a-Service, and leader in machine identity management, today announced it has successfully achieved ISO 27001 certification, a globally recognized security standard.
Increasing cloud adoption across the enterprise is driving governance measures and vendor compliance requirements, particularly in highly regulated industries, such as manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare.
ISO 27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IED). The standard provides a way to prove that a vendor rigorously monitors, reviews, maintains, and continually improves its information security management system.
“Over the past 24 months, adoption of Keyfactor’s cloud-hosted offerings has grown by more than 200%,” said Earl Siedlecki, Senior Vice President of Cloud Operations and Compliance at Keyfactor. “Our core values are built on trust and drive our commitment to deliver products and services that align with, and comply to, the industry’s most stringent security requirements.”
Recent research revealed that 88% of IT and security pros say their organization has experienced at least one significant certificate-related outage in the last 24 months, while another 55% said admit they have a shortage of IT staff dedicated to their public key infrastructure (PKI). As a result, the need for PKI and certificate management has grown dramatically.
“PKI isn’t just software and certificates, it’s critical infrastructure,” said Ted Shorter, CTO at Keyfactor. “Our customers count on Keyfactor PKI as a Service and certificate lifecycle automation platform to support their critical infrastructure and mitigate outage risks. We take that responsibility very seriously and work relentlessly to ensure our platform meets and exceeds privacy control and cloud security standards.”
Keyfactor’s ISO 27001 certification builds upon its extensive portfolio of security compliance and audit controls, including SOC 2 Type II, and PrimeKey (by Keyfactor) certifications for ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, Common Criteria, and eIDAS.
